Thomson Park Christchurch

Is a seaside recreation park in New Brighton with touch rugby fields, playground, skate park, BBQ area with seating and public facilities.
Playground includes a flying fox and the skate park is fairly large.

Thomson Park is next to the Rawhiti 18 hole public Golf course and is across the road from the North New Brighton beach.

It appears the Park is under redevelopment.  The Christchurch City Council proposes to revitalise the area, boosting safety and accessibility and making the park more user friendly with the addition of several features.

The draft plan includes a new full basketball court and picnic area, along with a sealed car park.
